School Lunch

I surprised Tyler and went and had lunch with him the other day. It was so funny to see his face. He just grinned from ear to ear when he saw me. I met him at his class and walked with them to the lunchroom. I started asking him how his day was and he was giving me the eye. Then he hurried and whispered we aren't supposed to talk in the hall. Oh, I am glad he follows the rules. It was a great moment for me when I would hear Tyler say "yes please & thank you" whenever he was offered food. The kids around us were hit and miss with these words but Tyler would say it every time. Proud mom moment.

There were quite a few kids from his soccer & football team that I recognized at lunch. Kids are awesome. They are so excited about life, food & recess! They would wave to each other across the tables trying not to be too loud so they wouldn't get in trouble. I got a lot of waves too, don't know who all of them were (they knew Tyler & said hi Tyler's mom) it was fun. It is reaffirming that the school Tyler is in is a great one! I appreciate what they do for our community and kids.

Kara Jackson - Miss Idaho 2009

My parents had the privilege of hosting Miss Idaho for a few nights. Kara Jackson is very down to earth yet beautiful girl. The Miss American pageant will have a new segment where America will be able to call in and vote for someone to be in the top 15 I believe. When the time comes closer I will post so we can all vote for Miss Idaho!! I have some pictures of the boys & I with Kara but they are on my mom's camera. Tyler was being funny about getting his picture taken with her. He doesn't like his picture taken the majority of the time but I think the crown was overwhelming for him I guess. Anyway - good luck Kara!

Football & Fair

Tyler is playing flag football for the first time this year. His first game is the 12th. We play catch & practice a couple of times a week. Tyler got suited up for fun one night and Jacob wanted a helmet on as well (you know, gotta be like big bro). The only one I could find was Ty's bike helmet. Jacob was thrilled to have any type of helmet on. Notice Jacob is also sporting some flip-flops. Don't let Jacob's attire fool you, he will still run you over and tackle everyone. The Eastern Idaho State fair is on at Blackfoot. Tyler rode the mechanical bull. The announcer guy kept telling him to raise one arm. Nope, not going to happen. Hangin on for dear life. He still had fun.

This picture is at someone's baptizim a few years ago. I think it was Megan, Sara's daughter. We decided to do something while our parents looked pretty for the picture.

Tyler had enough of me taking his pictures so he went inside. My battery died while uploading photos so I didn't get any of those shots to post yet.

The bus stop is right by our house. Tyler is hiding in the shadows but he is behind the little guy in the black shirt and green shoes. The little boy wasn't going to school but wanted to be in the picture. I two kids in this picture. It was a good time for us to meet our neighbors since we just moved into the house we are renting a few weeks ago.

His first time on the bus went well. He is in kindergarten all day Mon/Wed and every other Friday. So far the schedule is working out great for us.
